The challenge I think we should offer each of our party leaders – and perhaps all parliamentary candidates – is to take moral character tests and let us debate the results on prime-time TV. And failure by any leader to accept this challenge will itself be evidence that they lack the moral courage, respect and honesty to deserve our vote.
